Diane R. Libecki-Long, NCCP, PLS has been attorney H. Gerald Beaver's senior paralegal for 20 years and is the 2014 Cumberland County Paralegal of the Year recipient. Her primary areas of responsibility include staff support for both federal and state criminal cases, civil rights cases involving law enforcement misconduct, medical negligence actions and federal tort claims. Diane also assists attorney Hal W. Broadfoot Jr. in complex personal injury and civil litigation matters.

Education

Diane is a North Carolina Certified Paralegal, received her Paralegal Professional Certification and Professional Legal Secretaries Certification through NALS.

Danielle Rea is the senior paralegal of attorneys David T. Courie, Sr., Mark L. Hearp and Cristina S. Quantock. Her primary areas of responsibility include staff oversight of the Criminal, Traffic, ABC/ALE and Fort Liberty practice areas. Prior to joining the firm, Danielle served as a Criminal Deputy Clerk at the Cumberland Clerk of Court. She has worked in the legal professional since 2004 in both Cumberland and New Hanover Counties.

Education

Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies, CFCC.

Prior to joining the firm, Rosalyn served as a Criminal Deputy Clerk at the Cumberland County Clerk of Court and as a law enforcement officer.

Connie Smith

Legal Assistant

Connie is the legal assistant. Her area of responsibility is providing support in the area of personal injury. Prior to joining the firm, Connie served as a legal assistant for 10 years at a law firm in Wake County. Prior to working in the law field, Connie worked for 12 years in the claims department at a major insurance company.

Adel L. Bell

Paralegal

Adel L. Bell is a paralegal with attorney Hal W Broadfoot, Jr.. She assists him in the areas of personal injury, wills and estates, and civil litigation. Adel received her Paralegal Certification and is a graduate of the Criminal Justice program at Troy University. She is currently studying to be a licensed Mediator and Conflict Resolution Specialist.

Adel joined the team in 2011, working as a paralegal until her duties as a military spouse moved her to Louisiana in 2013. Upon her return in late 2015 she re-joined the team. Adel has worked in the legal field for over 15 years.

Mary Way

Paralegal

Mary J. Way has over two and a half decades of experience in the legal field as a paralegal and legal assistant. She has worked for many firms in the Fayetteville area over her career, focusing on personal injury and default services. In previous Law Firms, Mary has been responsible for public relations, office administration, HR matters, and file management. She is now glad to be back working in the personal injury arena for the Firm.

She has been a licensed notary public since 1991.

Mary absolutely loves the beach (any beach), gardening, and just being outdoors.

Receptionist

Sherry Thompson has served as the Firm receptionist for 10 years. Her duties consist of answering the phones, scheduling depositions and mediations, closing files, and assisting clients upon arrival. Sherry has a 2 year associate degree in Bible Theology and is working toward her doctorate degree. Sherry is a true Southern Belle having grown up in Rolling Fork, Mississippi. She shared adventure with her husband who served in the Navy while living in Guam and had her own boutique called “Sweet and Simple Craft Boutique. Sherry is still crafty and shares her love of decorating at Christmas by putting together our beautiful office decorations.



Leslie Branham

Office Administrator

Leslie ‘Dee’ Branham joined our firm late May of 2014 as our new Office Administrator. Dee provides support to Clients, Staff, and Attorneys working to ensure the firms daily administrative and accounting needs are met courteously, timely and accurately. Dee brings with her a wealth of Administrative experience, from her 20 years in the Health Insurance industry starting as a renewal clerk and ending as a Regional Sales Manager. She later transitioned to a 13 year career in the Manufacturing Industry where she held positions from Accounts Payable Manager, Purchasing Manager and Process Improvement Manager. She is currently serving on the board of directors for Teague’s Home for Homeless Woman through Southview Baptist church.

Education

Six Sigma Certification from NC State University.

She grew up in Chicago, but later in life joined her retired Special Forces father in Hope Mills, NC where she decided to stay and raise a family. She is the grandmother of four amazing grandchildren. Dee loves spending time in the outdoors and with her grandbabies, Son and Daughter, and enjoys teaching 3rd grade Bible school.
