Taking or withholding a card

Taking or withholding a card under North Carolina General Statute 14-113.9(a)(1) occurs when a person (1) takes, obtains, or withholds (2) a financial transaction card (3) from another (4) without the cardholder's consent and (5) with the intent to use it.

Taking or withholding a card is a class I felony with a maximum punishment under the law of 24 months incarceration.
